   While diabetes can be challenging, managed diabetes whether diet or insulin, is not an automatic decline. Height weight is major considerations as well as ancillary diseases that are companion complications.  Blood sugar management is a must. A1C levels below 8. Is it diabetes I or II? Is it adult onset and if so when did it occur?

   Most of the U.S.

   I contacted a Long Term Care broker to get her opinion for this question. She said that while some Long Term Care products say they will cover persons with diabetes, in reality, it is difficult to meet their criteria. If there has been a history of excellent control and no side effects, it is possible.
