Who Rates Life Insurance Companies?
- 10968 POINTSview profileTim WilhoitOwner, Your Friend 4 Life, Brentwood TNThere are several organizations that rate life insurance companies in a number of categories from financial strength to customer service and claims paying ratings. I believe the most important are the 4 rating companies for financial strength. They are A.M. Best; Fitch ratings; Moody's Investors; and Standard & Poor's. You want to look for companies that have "A" or "AAA" ratings to be sure they have the financial strength to pay the claims on the policy you purchase.Answered on October 28, 2014flag this answer
