There are several sources from which you could purchase life insurance.  However, life insurance is a very personal matter.  You will probably be more satisfied if you deal with a trusted insurance agent.  If you don’t already have such an agent, your friends, colleagues and neighbors can probably recommend someone to you.  The agent should listen to you, provide sound financial advice and communicate clearly with you and the insurance company.

That is a great question!  There are a million and one places to get a life insurance policy. You probably will get a million and one advertisements for agents now that you've asked! I firmly believe that while the internet is a great place for buying some things, life insurance is not one of them. There are too many things that can go unexplained, and prove costly one day, and that is the last thing that you want. Ask around among your friends, and see who they use, and if they are satisfied . Look to see if your auto insurance company offers life insurance - if so, often they will give discounts if you have several policies with them. Either way, use an agent that is knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain things to you. I'm happy to help in any way I can. Thanks for asking!

You can buy life insurance online, by mail, or by meeting with an agent at their office or your home.

Life insurance policies that are purchased without any contact with an agent are usually simplified issue policies. They generally are for smaller face amounts and do not require an exam. While the transaction can be simple, it takes a pretty insurance savvy person to read and understand all the fine print. Thus, it is easy to get declined, or not get the price or policy you were seeking. I recommend calling an agency that carries both simplified and fully underwritten policies, so that you can ask questions and will be given an accurate description of each type of policy before you make your decision.

Most types of life insurance can be purchased online or by meeting with an agent face to face. Looking at testimonials and checking Better Business Bureau ratings can be helpful in determining which agency you want to patronize. Reading answers from different agents on this website is also a good way to "meet" us and decide for yourself who appears to be knowledgeable and trustworthy.
