The best time to get life insurance is when you are young and healthy. I recommend you buy as long a term as possible with as much coverage as you can afford. Rates will never be better for you ever. The longer you wait the higher the premiums will get. If you wait until you need life insurance it's to late. I first purchased my life insurance in my 20's and of course at the time it was a chunk of money to me but looking back it was a good move. I have a very low premium and great coverage. It's all relative. Consult with your local agent about life insurance.

It’s always best to get life insurance when you’re young and healthy. It’s generally dirt cheap. It’s also a good financial tactics to get out in front of life’s economic liabilities when you’re first starting out, having a family and acquiring your first big ticket debt, i.e. a home mortgage or two auto loans and short term credit card debt or long term student loans.
