If you don't understand the details of your life insurance policy you need to fire your agent and start over. That's his entire job. That's why he makes the big bucks. So that you do understand it.

The sad thing is 50% of the agents are inexperienced and don't know a lot more than you do. But you job as a customer is to not reward bad agents.

I agree with this gentleman above. If your agent hasn't explained the details to you, he's done an extremely poor job of having your best interest. If you purchased it online by some company, you may be able to call the company and have someone explain some of the aspects of it to you. Life insurance is probably the most important form of insurance and shouldn't ever be purchased without contacting and sitting down with an experience and licensed professional.

You should call the adviser or agent, who sold it to you, explain it to you. But the odds are high that that they can’t. You could call the service department of the life insurance company, but that may not be any better. There are many services available that summarize policies for term life insurance and guaranteed universal life insurance. We can help with that.

If you don't understand the details of your life insurance policy, you can contact any life insurance agent that you trust, to explain it to you. Or you can call the company through whom the policy was issued. Their customer service department may be able to assist you in understanding your policy's features.
