The best life insurance companies are the ones admitted to do business in your state. That is a good reason to avoid doing “mail-order” life business. Your state insurance commissioner works hard to make sure that you are protected and that the companies that have been admitted in your state will keep their promises. Many states provide contingency plans to make sure that you are protected.
