    To find life insurance policies for a deceased person, start by looking through their records and files. If you can't find any policy numbers that way, ask an insurance agency that handled their auto, car, etc insurance, to see if they purchased their life insurance there, as well. You could try calling a couple companies that you know they liked. If all else fails, you may need to wait a couple of years for the life insurance to show up as unclaimed property for that state.
