An insurance carrier is only as good as their rating. Globe Life in my opinion is a quality carrier for three reasons:
1) over 50 years old
2) A+ credit rating
3) Over $60 bil of life insurance in force
The bottom-line is people buy it and have been buying it for a long time. They have to be doing something right to keep satisfied clients paying their premiums.

When you ask how good is X company I think that what you are really asking is if I have their policy and something happens will they pay? Globe Life insurance is a good company that primarily markets through direct mail operation. They have great name recognition but there are other companies with equal credentials whose price point is lower. Before buying any coverage always check with an experienced broker that represents multiple carriers to way out all of your options
