The insurance products that are marketed with the AARP logo on them are not the same in all states.
United Healthcare sells the AARP branded Medicare Supplement in most if not all states. The only sell the AARP branded Medicare Supplement in certain states.
For health insurance for those not on Medicare, I believe a limited number of states are now selling an AARP health plan for ages 50 to 64.
It's better to research all the health insurance plans available in your state than to seek out any certain brand.

Does New York Life offer health insurance? At one time they did. It was known as EPI and was very good medical insurance. They stopped selling EPI almost 20 years ago as they decided to narrow their product offerings. I do not know if they have reintroduced health insurance in any market, I doubt they have. It was an excellent product at the time.
No, they do not. New York Life Insurance is not in the health insurance business. New York Life Insurance focuses on life and disability insurance, long-term care insurance, annuities and retirement planning as well financial services. They have a long and distinguished history but are not a health insurance resource.
No, New York Life has been out of the health insurance business for decades. They are primarily a life, disability and annuity insurance company. Many other health insurance companies have chose to exit the market place as well with the ACA law a.k.a. Obamacare making underwriting much more difficult. This will be the trend in the next few years as well.
