Does Life Insurance Need To Be Probated?
- 11783 POINTSContact Meview profileLarry GilmorePROAgent Owner, Gilmore Insurance Services, Marysville, Washington StateDoes life insurance need to be probated? No life insurance does not have to go through probate if a stated beneficiary is named within the policy. Life insurance bypasses probate in most situations. A person can name their estate as beneficiary if they so choose putting the money inside the estate to be broken up and divided according to the will. OR they can simply have named beneficiaries to which the insurance company distributes funds.Answered on May 29, 2013+01 0+1 this answerflag this answerview more answers by Larry Gilmore
