Do You Need A License To Sell Life Insurance In Illinois?
- 63333 POINTSview profilePeggy MaceMost of the U.S.Yes, to sell life insurance in Illinois, you do need a license. If you are not working with variable products, a life insurance license offered through your state's Dept of Insurance is sufficient. You will need to study for it and pass a test in order to get a life insurance license in Illinois.Answered on August 28, 2013flag this answer

Every state requires an agent that wishes to do business in their State to be licensed, so the answer is yes. You can be licensed in several States, but you have to do them individually, and pay the requisite fees for each. Some may require testing, others won't. I hope that helps, thanks for asking!Answered on July 7, 2014flag this answer
