In generally terms, the answer is yes if you fit the underwriting profile in relation to the form of epilepsy, the medication and frequency of occurrences. Identifying the form of epilepsy is a good beginning in the underwriting discovery process: Idiopathic, Grand Mal, Petit Mal, Symptomatic and Focal.

If you are able to work and live a normal life with your epilepsy, you can usually get a medically underwritten policy rated Standard or better. If you have had any seizures in the past year, or if you have a history of serious or frequent seizures, you may need to get a simplified issue policy.

In any event, there is usually a policy for persons with epilepsy. You may have to shop around to find an agent who understands epileptic life insurance so that you can get your best possible. price.
