Can A Beneficiary Of Life Insurance Be Contested?
- 0 POINTSContact Meview profileDavid RacichPROFountain Hills, ArizonaThe policy owner has the right to change beneficiaries of a life insurance policy. If the policy owner changed beneficiaries and it could be proved that the policy owner’s competency was in question or that compulsion was used to manipulate the policy owner into making beneficiaries changes, it may be grounds to contest those changes in court. Consult with an attorney before moving forward with any action.Answered on July 7, 2013+11 0+1 this answerflag this answerview more answers by David Racich

You would have to prove mental incompetency or coersion in court. If successful the proceeds would most likely be paid to the estate or in some cases the prior beneficiary but that would be up to the court. You would need to see an attorney.Answered on July 8, 2013flag this answer
