A Homeowners Declaration Page is a document that clearly identifies the particular location and coverage provided by the Insuring Company on your home. There are a number of common elements to these documents. Your name and address and the location address will be listed. You will also find the policy number and both inception and expiration date of your poilicy period. Homeowners policies are usually and most commonly issued for a one year period that will renew on the anniversary date continuously unless you decide to change carriers or if your home no longer qualifies under the Insurance Company guidelines.
Your mortgage company will be listed on the declaration sheet as they are an interested party.
Coverage as it applies to your dwelling, personal property, additional structures and property deductible will be listed as will the amount of primary Liability coverage you choose.
Optional policy coverage and limits may also be listed. Talk to your Insurance Professional about all of the terms and conditions of your policy to make sure you have the coverage you need, are taking advantage of all available discounts and options available to you.
