Is Wood Rot Covered Under Homeowners Insurance?
- 7647 POINTSview profileMark Bartlett CLCSBranch Owner, TWFG Insurance Services, Fremont California and the Greater Bay Area Representing Dozens of Insurance CarriersWood Rot does not fall under the category of sudden or accidental. Wood Rot would be a condition generally caused by a slow lead or drip of water which over time rots the wood. Since this was a long term condition that could of been dealt with had the leak or drip been fixed this would not be a covered loss.Answered on July 11, 2013flag this answer
