The risks of a townhouse are different from those of a condominium.  The townhouse owner actually owns the ground under the townhouse and is thus liable for personal injury and property damage claims that might occur on any of the deeded property.  Normally the condo association covers the exterior of the building.  In a townhouse the owner is responsible.  The townhouse would be rated like a normal homeowner’s policy.

That is a great question! I'd love to give you a concrete number, but there are several things that can make a difference. The first is the area where your townhome is located. The costs of rebuilding or repairing homes in your area helps determine the price. So do crime statistics, weather threats, (hurricanes, flooding, or tornado's for example), and home prices. The premium will also depend upon the amount that you want insured, and the deductible amount you can afford.  I'd recommend that you contact a local agent or agents to give you some accurate quotes to choose from. Thank you for asking!
