How Much Does A Pool Raise Homeowners Insurance?
- 14231 POINTSview profileTom SheehanAgency Owner, The Thomas G Sheehan Agency, 27 Glen Road Sandy Hook, CT 06482In and of itself, a pool won't necessarily have an affect on your Home Insurance premiums. Unless you construct a more elaborite oasis for your family that may include a cabana, changing room and storage building that might require an increase in the "Other Structures" coverage in your homeowners policy, you shouldn't notice a change. However, with the addition of a pool, you do increase your personal liability exposure so be sure to talk to your insurance professional about your coverage options. It is always a great idea to look for extra protection in the form of a Personal Umbrella Liability policy.Answered on September 13, 2013flag this answer
