Your cell phone is personal property.  Your homeowner's policy covers personal property.  Claims are adjusted and you might be offered less than the replacement cost.  The company would be responsible to pay the adjusted value minus the deductible.  You might find that you wouldn't get any payment.

Great question! Your phone should be covered, especially if it was damaged or stolen while in your home. The bigger question is what will they give you for it - if your policy pays "actual cost", you may not get much for the phone, especially if it is an older model phone. If your policy pays "replacement value", they will pay for the cost to replace the phone. The even bigger question? Does your phone cost more than what your deductible is? If not, you are better off just buying a new phone, and not filing a claim. If you need help, please feel free to contact me. Thanks for asking!
