Does Homeowners Insurance Cover Water Main Leaks?
- 7647 POINTSview profileMark Bartlett CLCSBranch Owner, TWFG Insurance Services, Fremont California and the Greater Bay Area Representing Dozens of Insurance CarriersWhen it comes to plumbing problems homeowners insurance does not actually cover pipes. However if a pipe bursts and damages the dwelling there is coverage for the water damage on most polices, just not the pipe. So if your water main is leaking and there is no damage to the dwelling there would be no coverage.Answered on May 2, 2013flag this answer
