Does Homeowners Insurance Cover Jewelry Loss?
- 180 POINTSview profileNeil H. GrecoAgency Principal, Neil H. Greco LLC, New JerseyThis is a great question because a lot of people do not consider this when purchasing Homeowner's Insurance. Your Homeowner's insurance will generally cover your jewelry up to a certain amount. However, if you schedule the pieces of jewelry individually and specify their value, they will be covered up to their insured value. The benefit of scheduling the items is that the items would be covered for theft and mysterious disappearance everywhere in the world. I hope this answers your question!Answered on June 3, 2014flag this answer

They also limit other items such as monies & securities, fine arts, silverware, musical instrument, etc. You can, and should, schedule your jewelry on the policy. This will give you coverage for a piece of jewelry being lost or stolen and defines the amount of coverage through an appraisal.Answered on September 10, 2015flag this answer
