MOST homeowner policies cover televisons under the Personal Effects or Unscheduled Personal Property. They are covered just like any other personal item on an unscheduled basis.
YOu might want to check with your agent to assure that you have Replacement Coverage on your contents. This way, the company pays to REPLACE your damaged items based on the REPLACEMENT cost - NOT the ACV (Actual Cash Value) - which is REPLACEMENT COST minus DEPRECIATION.
Then the loss would be covered subject to your deductible. If someone stole your television worth a $1000 and you had a deductible of $2000....you wouldn't have any coverage since the loss is LESS than your deductible.
