Does Home Insurance Cover Plumbing?
- 37376 POINTSview profileDavid G. Pipes, CLU®, RICP®Business Development Officer, T.D. McNeil Insurance Services, Fresno, CaliforniaIf the damage is the result of neglect there isn’t any coverage. If the damage is caused by a backup of water through the sewer system, damage is excluded unless that coverage is purchased as an option. If the cause is freezing the policy will cover not damages if the property is unoccupied. Claims involving continuous and repeated seepage or leakage are also excluded by the policy. Damage caused by freezing is also excluded.Answered on April 28, 2014flag this answer
