Does Home Insurance Cover Liability?
- 155 POINTSview profileJared WilsonInsurance Agent, N. Holobaugh Insurance, United StatesMost home owners insurance policies have liability built into the policy. Usually, the limits can be raised to $1,000,000. Considering that the average premises liability award in 2008 was $848,702, having high limits of liability is a good idea. As I've said in other posts, I highly recommend an "umbrella" policy to increase your limits of liability.Answered on April 8, 2013flag this answer
