   If you are talking about water seeping in through the foundation; it is not typically covered under your homeowners policy. Flood insurance is available to cover for damage due to flooding and is required most financial institutions if you property is in a flood plain. Flood insurance handled through the Federal government and sold through individual insurance companies. Most homeowners policies due offer a special endorsement for Sump pump failure and/or sewer backup. Every policy is different. Please read your policy entirely to determine your policies coverage and exclusions or contact your local agent to have them explain the coverages contained in your policy.
