    It is not likely to have an effect on the premium but it is a critical item in underwriting.  Pools are fun but people drown in pools.  If the pool doesn’t have adequate security, the underwriter will not want the risk.  Pools are the focus of many law suits.  The biggest exposure you have in a homeowner’s policy is lawsuit.
