Can You Sue Your Own Homeowners Insurance?
- 37376 POINTSview profileDavid G. Pipes, CLU®, RICP®Business Development Officer, T.D. McNeil Insurance Services, Fresno, CaliforniaA homeowner’s policy is a legal contract. That contract may include a provision that says that you cannot sue the company but must arbitrate. You should consult with an attorney. In most states you would still be free to sue. You would basically sue the company for not performing their obligations under the contract.Answered on April 30, 2014flag this answer
