    I am fairly certain that you can start the application for a homeowners policy online but you more than likely will not be able to bind coverage through the internet only. In order for a carrier to assume the risk of insuring your property they will want to ensure that the property is in an acceptable condition and that all of the information that was entered about it is correct and factual. If the carrier notices discrepancies they may alter the premium rate or decline coverage all together. It is best to contact a local agent to get homeowners coverage.
