Health insurance covers accidental injuries most of the time.  The company will ask about auto insurance just like they will ask if you were hurt at the workplace.  They might force your auto insurance company to shoulder all or part of the claim arising from an auto accident.

If you are injured as a result of a car accident, your health insurance will usually cover you at some point.  In some states, the law provides that your car insurance include a required amount of "No Fault" primary medical coverage.  In this case, the claim would have to be submitted to your auto insurance carrier first and once that benefit is exhausted, the balance can then be turned over to your medical insurance provider.
