What To Do If Your Health Insurance Is Cancelled?
- 29 POINTSview profileThomas McGillLicensed Benefit Advisor, GoHealth,If your health insurance is cancelled you qualify for enrollment into a 2014 plan during this special enrollment period. It's best to talk with a licensed professional to see if you qualify for tax credits as well. You have a 60 day window to enroll into a plan. Any plans you enroll in will have a start date of the 1st of the month. You want to enroll into a plan before the 15th to have it start the following month. The enrollment dates are from the 16th to the 15th. So if you enroll after the 15th, your coverage starts in about 6 weeks.Answered on May 28, 2014flag this answer
