What Is Best Health Insurance For Self Employed?
- 90 POINTSview profileSandy CallinHealth and Life Insurance Agent, A&B Insurance, FloridaIt really depends on how good your health is (do you go to the doctor a lot? have lots of prescriptions? upcoming surgery?) and what your income is. If you fall into the income level whereby you get subsidy, you most likely want to go with a silver plan. A lot of self-employed individuals like to go with an HSA plan because this enables them to open up Health Savings Account with pre-tax dollars and use the account to pay for their health expenses. Some people are more comfortable with a "straight co-pay" plan so they know how much they will pay each time they access the system. It's very individual. If you'd like to give me a call, I'd be happy to help. Sandy Callin, A&B Insurance/Florida Blue 727-512-9508Answered on October 15, 2014flag this answer
