My Agent Told Me I Was Covered For Prenatal Care, But Now I’M Pregnant And Found Out I’m Not Covered For Anything Maternity Related. What Do I Do?
- 1575 POINTSview profileChristopher LawrenceInsurance Broker | Financial Consultant, Lawrence Insurance Consulting, Southern New JerseyIf you were missled by your insurance "professional" then you can recieve financial indemnification. It does not matter if the information that you were provided was provided in good faith, or if you were intentionally misled. Generally all Life/Health Agents/Brokers must have at least $1,000,000 (per incedent) in Errors and Omissions Coverage to protect them from this type of situation. The best way for you to proceed would be to contact your State's Department of Insurance, there should be a toll free number on their website and an option that will direct you to consumer protection and assistance.Answered on June 21, 2013flag this answer
