Great question! Your best bet to find affordable health care is on the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) site, www.healthcare.gov where the discounted policies are. If you shop on this site, you may qualify for discounts that you may not receive elsewhere. There is an annual enrollment period which has been closed until the fall, but if you have had a qualifying event (married, divorced, etc.) you may still be able to enroll. Look around at other sites, just to be certain that you have found the best policy for you, but I have found the government site to be about the best. Look for lowest deductible and co-pays with highest coverage. If you need help, please feel free to contact me. Thanks for asking!
Owner, Best Health And Car Insurance Rates - Instant Online Quotes, US
Cheap health insurance is available from many of the large companies, such as Blue Cross, Aetna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare and Cigna. Both individuals and families can often qualify for large subsidies that can drastically reduce rates.
So...How do you get the best rates? As a health insurance broker for 33 years, I'll tell you the best way - Work with an experienced broker (and their website) and you'll pay no fees, get the lowest available rates, and receive expert advice and guidance.
But why not go directly to the .gov website? It's not because of glitches, delays and security issues (although they should be a concern). It's because you will be working with a complete stranger (every time you call) that is likely to be relatively new with a fraction of the knowledge an insurance broker has.
A broker will offer you both on AND off Exchange plans along with short-term options if you miss Open Enrollment.
Our job is to find customers the cheapest rates from the top companies. At no charge, of course.
