    Under the Affordable Care Act (aka Obama Care),  if you have exited the recent open enrollment period with out qualified health coverage you will face a penalty when you file taxes next April for the 2014 year.  An individual will be penalized $95 or 1% of the Adjusted Gross Income, whichever is greater.  In ensuing years the penalty will increase to greater amounts.
