The same as it will be if you have a job.

Under the affordable care act, you may be able to qualify for a subsidy to reduce your monthly premiums. If you qualify for a subsidy, you will want to look at health plans on the health insurance exchanges - subsidies cannot be applied to plans off the exchanges.

It's always helpful to consult with an experienced health insurance broker who can work with you on a personal level to help you determine which plan will be most suitable to your specific needs.

I hope the information is helpful - please feel free to contact me for help or if you have any other questions. Thanks very much.

That is a great question! The Affordable Care act (Obamacare) created marketplaces where you can go to shop for a health insurance policy. These marketplaces are also set up to offer subsidies to those who qualify. In a number of cases the cost of a policy offered with subsidies in the marketplace was equal to or less expensive than the employer offered policy. It is wise for you to shop and see for yourself which would be the better option for you. I hope that helps, thanks for asking!
