Good health insurance is a lot less expensive than bad health insurance.
There are many bad policies out there. Some masquerade as health insurance but are really limited benefit plans or worse, just a discount. Some plans are major medical but only cover hospital inpatient care. Others may cover generic drugs only and maybe a few brand name drugs.
If you buy one of the bad plans you won't have a problem until you really need it, then you will find out just how expensive the plan really is.
