    With the implementation of the PPACA or better known as Obamacare in 2014 children can remain on their parent’s medical health insurance policy unit age 26. After age 26, children must secure their own medical coverage under the Obamacare mandate or pay a penalty for noncompliance. Premiums for people under age 40 are expected to be higher than current premiums in 2014.
