How Is Humana Health Insurance Rated?

   Humana has an A.M. Best rating of A- (Excellent).  As a general rule, I recommend all my clients deal with an insurance company rated A- or better.  These ratings are not based on customer satisfaction, but are instead based on the company's finances and their ability to pay any potential claims they may incur.  I've been covered by Humana for the past five years. Compared to other companies, their rate increases tend to be relatively small each year, and I've never had problems with any claims.
