Does Health Insurance Cover CBT?
- 1805 POINTSview profileSamuel SmithEnrolled Agent-licensed to practice before the IRS, Samuel N Smith, EA, South CarolinaI am assuming when you say CBT you are referring to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which most of the companies provide reimbrusement for which means you will have to pay the bill and then submit the bill to the insurance company unless the therapist agrees to bill the insurance for you. Have you found this coverage in your policy? Have you called the "customer serivice" number and ask them?Answered on November 17, 2013flag this answer
