That is a great question! Many colleges require a minimum amount of health requirements, especially when it comes to immunizations. We are required by the Federal Government to have health insurance coverage, and because so many people don't have coverage, yes, many colleges do require it. The last number I saw was approximately 35-40% of Colleges require health insurance coverage (ACHA 2008 study, if I remember correctly - I have kids in college). That number may be higher by now.
