Disability overhead insurance is coverage for a small business owner, to reimburse for his or her monthly business overhead expenses in the event of a disability.  A simple example would include money to pay for the rent of the owner's business location if that person were sick or hurt and could not work.  Other monthly expenses are also eligible to be covered.  This insurance can take a great burden off the business owner. otherwise these overhead expenses would have to be paid out of savings or other personal assets.  The premise is that if the owner is disabled, business revenue will shrink or disappear, thus making it difficult or impossible to have the cash to pay the overhead expenses.

Best to consult a local insurance professional for a complete analysis of the situation.
