Absolutely, if you were injured or ill and unable to earn an income, it will be the best investment of your life. As far as cost, it depends on some many different factors it is impossible to quote without knowing more about a person's situation. The average person can expect to pay 1% to 3% of their annual income in disability premiums in order to protect their earnings from an unthinkable disability situation.Answered on October 13, 2014flag this answer

The huge plus to disability insurance is that death does not have to occur before it pays out. Something as non life threatening as legal blindness could enable you to get a paycheck until you are age 65. That is a terrific bargain relative to the cost.Answered on October 13, 2014flag this answer
- 11783 POINTSContact Meview profileLarry GilmorePROAgent Owner, Gilmore Insurance Services, Marysville, Washington StateIs disability insurance expensive or cheap? Well yes and yes. You can build a disability policy to meet your needs or to fit your price. It can be as expensive as you are willing to pay and as cheap as you are willing to pay. What can be really expensive either way is not reading and understanding your policy's definition of disability.Answered on February 15, 2016+01 0+1 this answerflag this answerview more answers by Larry Gilmore
