Only group Short Term Disability Insurance pays time taken off for a normal pregnancy. When you start a job that offers Short Term Disability, or choose to purchase such a plan from a place where you have worked for a long time, you will want to make sure that you do not become pregnant for at least a year after obtaining the policy in order to collect the benefit.
