Does Short Term Disability Insurance Cover Maternity Leave?

    Most of the U.S.
    Short term disability policies purchased on an individual basis do not provide temporary income for time off due to normal maternity and childbirth. If there are complications with the pregnancy and/or childbirth, that may be a qualifying event to collect income through a long term disability insurance policy. Thank you.
