    Yes, most people can purchase Disability Insurance. To do so, go to a broker that sells it (some websites that sell Life Insurance also sell Disability Insurance, if you ask). They will collect your health and personal information, plus your type of job and income. Then they will run some plans for your to compare. You choose one, then apply for it and go through the underwriting process. Depending on whether you have health conditions for which medical records must be ordered, you should be able to have your policy within a month or so.
