When you are involved in an accident and do not have auto insurance you are placing yourself and your family in a situation with potential for large financial consequences. First if you are in a state that requires licensed drivers to have auto insurance you will more than likely be fined for not having insurance and other possible penalties. If you are the person responsible for the accident then you will have to pay for all the vehicle damages involved besides any medical expenses for persons involved in the accident and other damages that were the result of the accident.
