Recently I stopped my car for 1 second in a bike line to pick my friend, a girl riding a bike with speed at least 25mph hit my car and got hurt(she was riding blindly and listening to music in that high speed), she claimed my insurance 2 days later. When police came they told me it’s nothing big deal compared to failing to stop at red light or stop sign, but they still need to give me a ticket, but I could take defensive driving school to erase the ticket they gave me for parking at bike lane.

The problem I have is that since my insurance has been claimed, which means that they had already known the ticket, and the claim. If the final result is that I had responsibility in the accident and insurance company need to pay for me to that girl, and I have been to the driving school and eliminate the ticket record in MVD, but if the policy fee raised because I had this accident can I change to another insurance company? Since the other companies can not find the ticket record, will they still know the accident because there was a claim in my previous insurance company?

Thank you so much, that was a terribly bed luck, and I will never give myself any excuse for convenient when driving.

The ticket you received won't count against you regardless of whether or not you attend the driving school class, but the at-fault accident will.

Even if the ticket went on your driving record, it would not be counted. Because when you have 2 or more violations on the same day, insurance companies only count the most severe violation. Which in your case is the accident.

And yes, other insurance companies will know about your accident. Even if you are lucky enough to not have either the accident or ticket show up on your driving record, it will still show up on your insurance score (known as CLUE) if a claim is paid.
