The cost of a non-owner auto insurance policy will depend on your location, your age, your sex, your marital status and your driving record. They can cost as low as a couple hundred dollars per year but there will be a different rate for every driver. They usually cost less than insuring a vehicle for the same driver would cost.

The cost is relatively low.  Finding companies that write the coverage can be challenging.  Contact a competent insurance agent for help.  Understand that this coverage is in excess of the coverage already carried by the car.  If you are borrowing your brother’s car, and it is fully insured, the non-owned policy will only come into play if the loss exceeds the limit of your brother’s policy.
