    If you do not have any auto insurance coverage currently then you would want to secure coverage before you purchase a vehicle to be properly protected. If you do have auto insurance coverage currently then you should contact your agent as quickly as possible with the vehicle information. Many carriers state within the policy documentation if a new vehicle is purchased it must be reported to the carrier within seven days to be covered properly. Please read your policy completely to understand the coverage offered and any exclusions that there may be.
