You can take a defensive driving course and get a discount on your auto.  It can vary based on what state you live in.  You can take a look at your deductibles as well.  You may have a very low deductible and not even realize it.  You should make sure how much you use your vehicle is how it is listed on the policy.  Many insurance companies choose rate based on how long you commute to work and/ or how many miles you drive the vehicle per year.  That can change throughout the years so make sure that is up to date on your policy

There are many things you can do to lower your insurance rates. Many agents will tell you to raise your deductibles however this is NOT always the best solution. Example would be lets say you had a $100 deductible for comprehensive coverage with most carriers raising it to 500 lowers it only about 30.00 a year but you put 400 more out of your pocket before the insurance company pays anything. So Higher deductibles may not be the best option for you. Also yes you can take a safe driver course but this lowers your policy on average on $50 a year with many carriers so that isn't much of a savings
If you do not have a lot of assets then lowering you liability limits is a options. Some agencies refuse to write you with lower limits.

Your best option is to shop with another carrier and talk toa local agent who has many carriers.
