   If you're asking does your auto insurance protect a rental car that you rented, the answer is simply yes, that being said, you need to make sure your coverage is enough to cover the vehicle rented. It is recommended that you always purchase the insurance from the rental company, that way if you were involved in an accident you know the amount of coverage is enough for the vehicle & it isn't a claim on your insurance.
